Tech/Life Ireland

Tech/Life Ireland is the new national tech talent attraction initiative. Developed by Enterprise Ireland, IDA Ireland and the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, in partnership with the Tech industry, it is launching in June 2016.

Atomic DNA is the lead agency in developing strategy, brand, creative and content for what will be an innovative, international digital and social initiative.

Our digital-first solution makes use of premium online films, short-form social video and extensive editorial content to engage a hard-to-reach, hard-to-influence global audience.

From inception, we set ourselves the benchmark of building the world’s best tech talent brand and, with our partners, we are delivering on that important aspiration for Ireland.

Bank of Ireland
Graduate Campaign

Bank of Ireland wanted a graduate campaign that stood out from the crowd, while showcasing the diverse range of talent and opportunities they have to offer graduates.

Rather than sitting their current graduates down to repeat pre-rehearsed lines about their experience, we sent our crew to hang out with some of the Bank's brightest and best for a whole day and captured it on film.

In video, photography and online, Atomic DNA created a campaign that captures the energy, ambition and diversity that Bank of Ireland graduates represent.

Bank of Ireland — Inclusion & Diversity

Bank of Ireland announced their new Inclusion and Diversity agenda in late 2016, and International Women's Day presented an opportunity to bring it to life. 

We developed the concept Many Voices: One Bank to simplify a subject that can sometimes veer into an abstract corporate agenda for employees.

The simplicity of the concept enabled us to very literally demonstrate the negative impact of an homogenous workforce and the value of a diverse range of contributions.

As part of the campaign we captured stories and perspectives from a wide cross section of staff, which strengthened buy-in across the organisation and resulted in a very strong launch.

KPMG
Inspiration

KPMG and Atomic DNA collaborated to develop and execute a unique employee engagement and CSR programme with their ambassador, Katie Taylor.

Twenty first-year KPMG trainees travelled to Bray for an unforgettable training session with Katie Taylor and her father Peter. Katie spoke about what inspires her to be a world-class athlete and shared the techniques she uses to build incredible physical and mental strength. 

We captured the experience in high definition video, photography and other internal content. The result was a uniquely memorable, shareable and motivating experience for new hires that was talk about for many months within and outside of the organisation.

Digital Candidate Experience

Bank of Ireland aspires to be the best employer in Financial Services in Ireland. It was Atomic DNA’s job to create a word class Digital Candidate Experience to help deliver on this ambition. 

Our approach depicts a bank, where talented, engaged, forward looking people are on a journey of transformation and innovation. We created the Bank’s new careers site, rich video content, new photography and a human tone of voice that puts the focus firmly on people - staff and customers alike.

Working in partnership with recruitment technology company, Clinch, we have created a platform that allows the Bank’s Recruitment Team to rapidly deploy tailored content and messaging to specific talent pools. As well as understanding which content successfully engages candidates and drives application.

Griffith College
Dublin

Third level advertising can be formulaic at best. Derivative and undifferentiated at worst. Griffith College has always had a strong and well-defined ethos of its own. It is a place for ambitious people and equips them with everything they need to get ahead in their careers. At Atomic DNA we believed this distinctive proposition deserved a distinctive brand.

We captured this thought in our brand new platform ‘Jump Ahead with Griffith College’ and created an iconic visual concept of the ‘evolution’ from school leaver to student to professional. 

Working with world-renowned photographers, Nick & Chloe, we delivered a beautiful, dramatic and iconic campaign that gave the brand immediate standout.

Salesforce is generally recognised as having one of the most powerful workplace cultures of any employer. Atomic DNA is proud to work with Salesforce across a range of employer branding.

Our work spans content for talent attraction and internal communications and has a major emphasis on online video. Most recently we worked on Salesforce Ireland’s winning Great Places to Work submission - a beautifully produced book that gave a unique insight into the organisation’s unique culture, people and practices.

Our collaboration spans EMEA audiences and the focus throughout is on people, not products - befitting of an employer that puts an unequalled emphasis on caring, cooperation and positive relationships.

Career Zoo

Career Zoo is Ireland’s leading Employer Branding event. It focuses on attracting and delivering professionals to the ICT, Fintech and Biopharma sectors and recent events have seen over 10,000 attendees visit the Convention Centre Dublin.

Atomic DNA has worked with Career Zoo since 2011 on services including naming and brand development, advertising and content production and event dressing. 

In recent events, we have shifted our communications strategy from ‘careers fair’ to ‘employer brand shop window’, putting the emphasis on showcasing interesting and rewarding employer cultures. Our distinctive advertising featured imagery of real people from featured employers and successfully strengthened the target audience of highly skilled professionals and tech talent: 74% were experienced professionals with 51% involved in technology.

Think Tomorrow

At Atomic DNA we think most event interviews are pretty awful. Catch someone on the hop, stick a microphone in their face and the results are predictably terrible.

As part of Bank of Ireland’s sponsorship of Career Zoo, we took a different approach - making it easy on interviewees with quick, either-or questions that focused on what they think about tomorrow. 

Within a matter of hours, we had shot, edited and distributed 19 videos via social media - a whirlwind of activity that strengthened and broadened the Bank’s participation at the event.

5X Campaign

Irish tech companies over-index on opportunity. But with less marketing budget at their disposal, their employer brands often lag those of the bigger names in tech. Atomic DNA works with Enterprise Ireland to help change this and profile the superb people and opportunities at Irish tech companies.

Our 5X series in particular, puts the spotlight on five of Ireland’s most innovative companies and the talented developers that drive them on. We favoured a long-form format to tell a sometimes complex story. The videos reveal a culture of quiet determination and ambition. Most importantly they capture the unsurpassed potential for personal impact that exists with Irish tech employers.
